Meadowlark Circular Dichroic Polarizers consist of a dichroic linear polarizer and true zero-order, quarter-wave retarder. We ensure optimum performance by accurately aligning the retarder fast axis at 45° to the linear polarization direction. Tight retardance tolerance also contributes to the ultimate performance. Once we have aligned the polarizer and retarder materials, we laminate these components between high-quality optical flats, providing less than λ/5 for visible and λ/2 for NIR transmitted wavefront distortion. Antireflection-coated windows ensure surface losses are minimized. Our standard Dichroic Circular Polarizers are designed for single wavelength applications.
