Laser Line Beamsplitting Cubes

Each Meadowlark Laser Line Beamsplitting Cube separates an unpolarized incident beam into two orthogonal, linearly polarized components that have negligible absorption. (Using dielectric beamsplitting coatings, p polarized light is transmitted while s polarization is reflected.)

Right angle prisms are matched in pairs to produce high-quality laser line beamsplitting polarizers that have superior wavefront quality in transmission and reflection. The hypotenuse face of one prism is coated with a multilayer dielectric beamsplitting coating optimized for laser performance. Two prisms are cemented together to protect the critical coating from performance-degrading environmental factors.

All four entrance and exit faces are coated with a V-type antireflection coating to minimize reflection losses.
