The team at Meadowlark Optics continually works on polarization solutions to the benefit of our customers. A basic building block of our line of liquid crystal products is the Liquid Crystal Variable Retarder (LCVR), a single one of which can replace an entire series of static retarders. The LCVR is electronically adjustable from nearly 0 waves (or beyond with an optional compensator) to more than one-half wave in approximately 10 milliseconds.

Though typically we list our standard products as the LCVR, Attenuator, and Polarization Rotator, we have the ability to apply liquid crystals in other extremely useful ways. Products that facilitate additional uses are the Twisted Nematic Liquid Crystal Device and the Liquid Crystal Circular Polarizer.
