The two-dimensional Hexagonal Array SLMs from Meadowlark Optics are designed for applications in adaptive optics. A two-dimensional array of liquid crystal variable retarders acts as a real-time programmable phase mask for wavefront correction of a linear polarized source. We remove unwanted aberration effects by introducing the opposite phase shift.
Popular applications involve high-resolution imaging in which viewing through an aberrant medium is unavoidable. These include medical imaging through body fluids.
We design our 2-dimensional Hexagonal Array SLMs for applications in adaptive optics.
